Welcome! I’m Melissa Forte-Litscher, REALTOR®, CRS, ABR®, RSPS, MRP, PSA

I’m a REALTOR® with NextHome Cornerstone Realty serving buyers, sellers, and property owners throughout Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Okaloosa County, and Florida’s Emerald Coast. I’ve been licensed since 2007 and a full-time REALTOR® since 2018, combining deep local roots, continued professional education, and a service-first approach to real estate.

The Emerald Coast isn’t simply where I work—it’s home. I graduated from both high school and college here in Okaloosa County and have watched Northwest Florida grow and change over the years. That history has given me an appreciation for not only our real estate market, but also the neighborhoods, military community, local businesses, beaches, and people that make this area such a special place to call home.

I work with buyers and sellers across a wide range of residential real estate needs, with particular experience in buyer representation, military relocation, resort and second-home properties, pricing strategy, and residential sales. I hold the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®), Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS), Military Relocation Professional (MRP), and Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) credentials. I’m also a Florida Realtors Faculty member, an opportunity that allows me to share knowledge with other real estate professionals while continuing to learn and grow within our industry. I believe continuing education is essential to providing knowledgeable, professional service in an ever-changing real estate market.

Serving my profession and my community is also important to me. Through the Emerald Coast Association of REALTORS® (ECAR), I’ve served as Chair of the Community and Military Outreach Committee, Co-Chair of the MLS Area Tour, and on the Public Policy, MLS, Professional Development, and other association committees. In 2024, I was honored to be named ECAR’s Humanitarian of the Year—an award that is especially meaningful to me because service has always been an important part of how I try to live and work.

Family, faith, and community are at the center of my life. My husband and I share six adult children and two grandchildren, and we believe homeownership can help strengthen families and communities. We’ve had opportunities to put that belief into action through volunteer projects with Habitat for Humanity. Our Christian faith, our family, and serving others continue to shape the life we’ve built together here on the Emerald Coast.

I also understand that real estate is personal. Your transaction may represent your first home, a military move, a second home, an investment, a new chapter, or saying goodbye to a home filled with years of memories. That’s why my approach begins with listening. My job is to help you understand your options, provide the information you need, communicate clearly, negotiate thoughtfully, and help you make decisions with confidence.

For me, success in real estate isn’t measured simply by transactions or getting to the closing table. It’s measured by relationships, service, and knowing I’ve helped people make informed decisions about the places and communities they call home.
